One must move past the bitterness of past failures to be able to have true love again, we cannot turn the page if we continue to reread the last page.
I lost my husband of 43 years a year ago. He was disabled for the last 5 years, I was his only caretaker for those years. We never had children and never considered a divorce. We fell in love when I was 15 and he was 16, We married when I was 19 and he was 20. I was holding him in my arms when he died. We loved each other for almost 50 years and it was “true love”.
